This land has been traversed by the indigenous people of Kawatiri (Westport) for generations since the 1300’s and has been farmed since the late 1890s. Māori legend acknowledges the Taniwha (Poutini) is swimming up and down the West Coast protecting the spiritual essence of the land and its people. In planning this subdivision, we have prioritised retaining the area’s natural spirit and beauty while creating a sense of community. The result is a cluster of houses set within the larger, sensitive landscape of Cape Foulwind.
When designing this subdivision, our team of consultants have gone to great lengths to ensure that all 22 sections enjoy stunning sea views stretching across the cliffs out to the Tasman Sea.
